Is Fortnite Dead?- 5/04/19

Is the most popular battle royale game finally dying?
Personally, yes. The game has been slowly declining for ages now. While Season 7 was good, Season 8 is probably the worst season yet. Where's all the plot and storyline that Epic Games had been building up since Season 4? The answer is there is none for the moment. And to be honest, the reason people played Fortnite was because of its interesting plots, frequent updates and new items. It kept the game fresh. But Season 8 has been absolutely trash. Just take a look at the Battle Pass. This Seasons' is the worst I've ever seen. Sure the banana skin is cool, but take a look at the tier 100 skin. Its trash. So here are the reasons Fortnite is finally dying after what was admittedly a very good run;

1. The OG Skins- People who are youtubers play games but they also collect within the game. Within fortnite, they try to get every skin that has ever came out. However, no player appreciates it when a really old OG skin returns to the item shop. 
2. Competing Games- Games like Apex Legends are competing with fortnite. At Apex's peak, they had literally every former fortnite player playing their game. At apex's release, the ever dropping fortnite players dwindled some more. Not to mention games like Overwatch that are slowly getting more popular again.
3. Toxicity- People play video games for fun. But with a game so competitive like fortnite, there's so many toxic players. All they do is go on and on about how trash you are, be racist, and just put you down. Nobody plays games to experience that! This is my personal reason I stopped playing fortnite. it was this, that got me into StarDew Valley, which is casual and much less rage inducing.
4. Tommy Gun- The Tommy gun was vaulted... No further explanation required. BRING IT BACK FORTNITE! 
5. Removal of Wailing Woods- I absoloutely loved that place. If you wanted to be away from all the immediate Tilted Towers action, then Wailing Woods was a chilled less sweaty alternative. not Anymore. They went and put a stinking volcano there...
6. The Tryhards- Nobody likes super sweaty tryhards. It just makes the game boring.

Well there are more reasons, but these are my personal reasons on why I think Fortnite's dying and why I personally stopped playing.
